If you’re anything like me, the feeling of walking around outside barefoot simply makes you feel GOOD. However, many people don’t understand or realize why this is. When you walk around barefoot you are allowing your body to come in direct contact with the Earth and its extremely beneficial electrons; this process is called “Earthing”.
“Earthing”, also known as “grounding”, is defined as placing one's bare feet on the ground whether it be dirt, grass, sand, or concrete (especially when humid or wet).
Your immune system functions optimally when your body has enough electrons which are easily and naturally obtained by walking barefoot on the earth. Even more so, research indicates that electrons from the Earth have antioxidant effects that can protect your body from inflammation and it’s many health consequences.
It is known that the Earth maintains a negative electrical potential on its surface. When you are in direct contact with the ground the earth's electrons are conducted to your body, bringing it to the same electrical potential as the earth. Living in direct contact with the earth grounds your body, inducing favorable physiological and electrophysiological changes that promote optimum health.
Research is showing us that another benefit of Earthing appears to be that it can also minimize the consequences and effects of disruptive fields like EMF so as you can see doing this easy and simple thing can drastically improve your health and how you feel! If you have never tried Earthing, we encourage you to give it a go and once you feel the difference we know you will not be able to get enough!
Here are a couple of things to keep in mind when Earthing or grounding:
- Not all earth is created equally! For the best experience make sure you’re standing on earth that has full nutrient rich soil and no Geopathic Stress. More on GeoStress coming soon!
- At this time we do not recommend grounding mats or sheets unless you are using the outside grounding rod, and you’re sure that you have not placed it into a Geopathic Stress Zone or Line. Unfortunately most homes are not properly grounded, so placing the grounding mat or sheet wire into the 3rd prong of your outlet still pulls DC energy into the body.
